Firmware update problem

Hi

I am having a issue updating my firmware.  My board is marked 2.1 on the bottom. I downloaded the latest version #5. I followed the instructions and now every time I plug the board in it is recognized as a external media device. I have tried this on Linux and then on a Mac box. Any Ideas what might be wrong?

The problem resolved when I updated the firmware under windows 8. Back to normal operation.

Yea, for Windows you may have to re-install the drivers if you update the firmware. Glad you got figured it out. :)
